I have over twenty years of experience on a wide array of systems and
has worked most areas of the full life cycle of a project. I've worked
with large and small scale hardware and have experience working in
various environments including Linux, FreeBSD, Win32 and a variety of
older system programming. I program in PHP, Python, Perl, Javascript, Java, C++, C (ANSI Standard), Smalltalk, and other languages with a strong preference
for solid object level design and standards.

Working with the Mozilla services team to create scalable services.
Netflix.com2008-2010
Worked with the Netflix API Team to roll out, update and assist developers with the Netflix site API. This position required working with all levels of the site including Oracle interfaces, Java backend development, REST architecture and front end design and maintenance. In addition, frequent discussions with customers was required to address their programming issues.
Designed and built the JSON implementation of the Netflix API.
Created several utility packages such as the OAuthSimple libraries for Javascript and PHP, the OAuth Test Page and Flixo, the OAuth Assitant for walking the Netflix Data services.
Yahoo! Inc.1999-2008
Represented Yahoo Developer Network at various conferences where I was required to have deep knowledge of APIs and functions. Made sure that customers were heard and problems addressed in a quick, responsive manner. In addition, I designed, built and maintained several key components of the YDN backend support systems, as well as provided technical and operations support for various external "Hack Day" events.
Worked as a senior engineer for Yahoo! Local, and created numerous data processing programs both on the back end, and customer facing. Won several innovation awards for innovation and share a pending patent.
Worked as a senior engineer for Yahoo! Travel performing various tasks from system operations, content management and deployment, to web-development. Converted Travel property from out-dated proprietary templating platform to PHP templates, including creating several PHP extensions for services provided outside of travel. Created and maintained a simplified templating structure for the front-page of travel which allowed producers to edit and preview front-page content. Created Travel Deals product which accepted advertising feeds from various outside parties for display on our pages. This frequently required a great deal of interpersonal contact between customers and their representatives and I take pride in the fact that all of them know I can help them.
Oversaw and deployed multiple production level distributed MySQL servers.
Principle engineer for the content and front end portions of seven different vertical properties. Tasks included heavy vendor contact and support, rapid response as well as strong data-normalization skills.
Created documentation for several page generation tools, including taking over a company documentation web site that had fallen into neglect.
Designed a page management system from existing tools that could allow radical site redesign for use by site producers with limited HTML experience.
